Training in assessment of the condition of the nine types of ecosystems in Bulgaria (grasslands; forests and forest shrubs; shrublands and heathlands; sparsely vegetated lands; wetlands; urbanised areas; croplands; rivers and lakes; marine) and ecosystems services, which includes:
- using an ecosystem approach in the assessment of ecosystems and ecosystem services;
- driving forces, pressure, and capacity of ecosystems;
- classification of ecosystems and ecosystem services;
- indicators for determining the condition of ecosystems and ecosystem services;
- mapping of ecosystems and ecosystem services - main approaches and principles;
- monitoring and assessment of the condition of ecosystems and ecosystem services;
- adaptive management of ecosystems and the services offered by them;
- quantifying the natural capital, models, theoretical and practical examples from European countries, international programmes - MAES, TEEB, Millenium Ecosystem Assessment).
