Providing data for 2018-2019 from hydrobiological monitoring of surface waters

In the National Monitoring Programme for Surface Waters, it has been required of the Executive Environment Agency to carry out part of the programmes for hydrobiological monitoring of surface waters by enlisting an external contractor. The data will be used for an assessment of the ecological condition/ecological potential of the surface water bodies within the framework of the plans for management of water bodies and for reporting to the European Environmental Agency.

Main tasks and activities:

  • Conducting monitoring of the biological qualitative elements;
  • Determining the main physicochemical parameters: dissolved oxygen, oxygen saturation, water temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, Secchi transparency (only for lakes and dams);
  • Doing an analysis and complex assessment of the results from the monitoring.
