Training: “Management and Reporting of Hospital and Medical Waste in Healthcare Facilities”

Eco Solutions and Fortis Visio are jointly organising a training course explaining the current requirements for the collection, storage and treatment of hospital and medical waste. During the training, participants will be introduced to the new and existing legal requirements and the resulting obligations related to the management and reporting of waste on the premises of medical and healthcare facilities, and will receive practical guidance on applying the legislation in their day-to-day work. The training will be held on 19.02.2018 in Sofia. The training will be delivered to a limited group of participants and will include a theoretical lecture supported by practical examples and discussion. It is suitable for: – Managers and head nurses of medical and healthcare facilities (medical establishments under Articles 8, 9 and 10 of the Medical Establishments Act, as well as healthcare facilities under Article 21 of the Health Act); – Persons directly involved in the collection, storage, transport, treatment and reporting of waste from medical and healthcare facilities; – Officials under Article 8(2), items 5 and 8 of the Waste Management Act; – Officials under Article 7, items 1, 2 and 3 of Ordinance No. 1 of 09.02.2015 on the requirements for waste collection and treatment activities on the premises of medical and healthcare facilities.
