New project under OP "Innovation and Competitiveness"

Fortis Visio is the beneficiary of project No. BG16RFOP002-1.005-0299 “Increasing the innovation capacity of the enterprise through the development of an innovative service for surveying and assessing the health condition of trees”, financed by Operational Programme “Innovation and Competitiveness”, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. The grant contract under OP “Innovation and Competitiveness” 2014 - 2020, selection procedure No. BG16RFOP002-1.05, was concluded with the Ministry of Economy as Contracting Authority on 15.11.2018, with an implementation period of 24 months. The main objective of the project is to develop an innovative service for surveying and assessing the health condition of trees using high-tech equipment and specialised software (a platform), including a database, a web application and a mobile application, in order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tree health assessment. The innovative approach consists in combining the use of high-tech equipment, scientific advances in tree health survey and assessment, and a modern software solution that allows the assessment to be automated and the data on surveyed trees to be presented in a single system. In order to automate the tree health assessment process, reference values of the parameters measured with the high-tech equipment are to be determined for the 20 most widespread tree species in Bulgaria. Determining the reference values for each tree species requires scientific work and statistical processing of the results obtained, which will involve both members of the company’s team and consultants with in-depth knowledge of the phytopathological assessment of trees.
